I am looking into purchasing a design for a future web hosting company. Already have a domain registered for use and a company plan / slogan. I won't be opening up the company for about 2 years though. I don't need excellant coding as I'll do most of it myself. I just need an excellant design. I am a little bit sceptable though as to the timeline between opening and site creation is quite large. My budget for the design is around $5,000 USD.

What are you thought of purchasing a unique web site design this early in the company's making? Can you recommend a reputable design firm?

I think it all depends if you plan on changing your mind in the near future being that you said it wont be up til 2 years, so you can look for right now and see what you like and go along making changes.

I've decided to purchase a simple and cheap design to work with for the next two years. This way I have some sort of visual design to use in relation with the scripting i'll be doing for the site. It's too early to pay for such a site. With as fast as the world of computers moves I'd regret it 2 years down the road.

Plus with the whole new 'web 2.0' phenomenon it wouldn't be wise either. Technology has been rapidly changing, with too many different fronts.
