Google has just launched yet another one of it's growing services, Google Page Creator

Google Page Creator currently enables Google Account holders to create single pages, with up to 100MB of storage. The company provides a free URL at http://username.googlepages.com to access the pages a user creates. Google says Page Creator does not currently support making full "sites" of content. Creating a page using the service requires just a few mouse clicks, and although it's still an early beta release, industry analysts and pundits say it already shows promise.

"From the Page Manager, click on the title of the page you want to edit. This will take you to the Page Editor. Once you've clicked into your page, just start typing in the text boxes," explains Google. "On the left side of the page are tools to: change the size and style of your text, create links, and insert images."

Different layouts can be selected through a sample gallery, along with "page looks" that provide color and style options. Images can also be uploaded and inserted into pages. You can use up to 100MB of space for your pages and uploaded files.

Now, that's actually a good idea. If good did their own free web hosting I think they would hit it off at an incredibly fast rate.

But, maybe this is just the start of their free web hosting offerings.

They can't give "real" free hosting. In fact, the 100 MB quota is fake. If they only allow one page, and I'm sure they don't allow large files, it's almost impossible to use up 100MB, they are definitly overselling.

I would laugh SO hard if Google got a DDOS attack.

Well for now it's just a start, I'm sure there will be more updates to the system to be competitive

Yes this is quite old already

I set up a small page to see how it worked, I like it. This could be fun for people, specially for those who can't use dreamweaver and just want a simple site for them.
